Cloud Storage

Maximize your workflow efficiency, your storage, and your security with TRAKnet’s Cloud. With TRAKnet Cloud you will no longer need to pay for costly servers or be obliged to outsource your healthcare data storage. Data is backed up every five minutes! The TRAKnet Cloud provides your practice with a private storage platform to protect your data and maximize efficiency.

5 Benefits of the TRAKnet Cloud

1) Implementation

Implementation is much simpler with the TRAKnet Cloud. Practices can prevent interruption of cash flow and get a faster return on investment with an implementation process much quicker than traditional client server systems.

2) IT Resources

IT resource requirements are significantly reduced when practices choose to move medical records and healthcare data storage to the cloud. Instead of requiring a team of IT experts to install, configure, test, run, secure, and update hardware and software on a server it’s simply in the cloud. Expensive backup costs are a thing of the past since the TRAKnet Cloud includes data backup for most practices.

3) Accessibility

The TRAKnet Cloud provides superior accessibility and collaboration over client server systems because users are able to securely log into the system from anywhere they have internet connection. The ability to access the system outside of the office allows physicians, staff, and patients to collaborate more effectively in a secure environment and provide better continuity of care.

4) Scalability

Scalability is simplified with the TRAKnet Cloud. Practices are able to expand without the standard IT growing pains. The TRAKnet Cloud makes it easy to add new users, doctors, or locations. The flexibility of the TRAKnet’s healthcare data storage allows practices to think big and grow without breaking the bank.

5) HIPAA Compliance and High Level Encryption

The TRAKnet Cloud achieves HIPAA compliance through data centers with bank level security and high level encryption methods that render data unreadable, even if a security breach occurs. Client server systems are often left unencrypted and only as secure as the room where they are stored.

Common Cloud Security  Questions

How safe is TRAKnet Cloud service?

In accordance with ISO 27001, HIPAA, and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, we are required to ensure the highest levels of safety and security both in our own office environment and for TRAKnet EHR while it is being used in our clients’ offices. Our ONC-2015 certification assures that this has been done.

TRAKnet Cloud utilizes Microsoft Azure, the industry leader and most-trusted cloud hosting solution. With Azure, file storage is encrypted at rest with AES-256 encryption. All data to and from the server in Azure which hosts multimedia is SSL encrypted during transmission and reception. Transparent data encryption (TDE) helps protect Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Warehouse against the threat of malicious activity. It performs real-time encryption and decryption of the database, associated backups, and transaction log files at rest without requiring changes to the application. By default, TDE is enabled for all newly deployed Azure SQL databases.

In addition to the above features and functionality that can help your application meet various security requirements, Azure SQL Database also participates in regular audits and has been certified against a number of compliance standards. For more information, see the Microsoft Azure Trust Center at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/trustcenter/cloudservices/azure, where you can find the most current list of SQL Database compliance certifications.

In the event of a breach in the Cloud, what safeguards does NEMO Health take to ensure TRAKnet user’s data is protected?

In addition to the Azure SQL back up that occurs every five minutes, we also use Gladinet – which also encrypts data at rest and keeps multiple copies of files. Three previous versions of files are kept to assist in the event data restoration becomes necessary. Gladinet has an anti-ransomware functionality that is turned on to stop mass file changes; and the server hosting Gladinet is regularly updated. These high level encryption and protection methods will render data unreadable, even if a security breach does occur.
